The Work of the Role: Substitute Teachers play a key role in ensuring a smooth and high-quality learning experience for our students. Teaching & Learning -Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of Secondary School teams. -Support the academic and emotional well-being of students. -Liaise with Subject Teachers, Grade Level Teams, and Coordinators to ensure programme requirements are met. -Demonstrate effective classroom management that addresses academic, social, and emotional learning. -Use technology effectively to enhance learning. -Ensure continuity of teaching and learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. -Assist with the preparation of learning materials and organization of the classroom environment. Education, Experience & Requirements -Bachelor’s degree. -Current teaching qualification for Secondary level preferred. -Minimum 4 years of recent and relevant Secondary School classroom experience. -International school experience is advantageous. -Knowledge and experience of the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) or Diploma Programme (DP) preferable. -Excellent English communication skills. -Experience teaching learners with diverse needs. -Strong classroom management skills, empathy, and interpersonal skills. -Valid Swiss work and residence permit required.
